INCIDENTS
INCIDENT#1: In October of 2000 a former Glocester resident informs us that the Glocester Police failed to complete a report on a subject being ran off the road. According to the former resident the Glocester Officer stated to him that there was not enough damage to do a report. The former Glocester resident noted the officer's badge number was 2 that told him this.
INCIDENT #2: On Febuary 25th, 2001 a gay couple had reported a series of events to the Glocester Police of harassment because of their sexual orientation by another Glocester resident. The couple felt they didn't take there report seriously. The Glocester Police Officer taking the report had no clue that there was a Hate Crime Law in place for this type of event. No arrest was ever made. The couple is now reporting that they have been harassed by members of the Glocester Police Department because of their sexual orientation. They have contacted the press and the ACLU for help and will be filing a suit against the Glocester Police Department in the near future. Last update-5/12/01
INCIDENT#3: In May of 2001, a male went into the Glocester Police Department to file a complaint against Officer Laplante (badge number 2) for his unprofessional conduct in the Police Station Lobby. The complaintant was told by the Glocester Police Chief that he would hear something with in two weeks about the complaint. To the date nothing has been relayed to the complaintant on what was done or what the chief did to look into the matter.
